Gary Daly
Gary Daly qualified in 2001 and has extensive experience in insolvency, commercial and property law. Gary is also a passionate human rights lawyer and has been involved in many cases vindicating the human rights of our clients. This passion for human rights has also carried over into his involvement in many campaigns for the rights of those without homes, the traveller community, LGBTQIA rights, for refugees and anti-racism. Gary is also a well-rounded sportsman having competed at various levels in GAA, boxing and jiu-jitsu.
Seamus Hempenstall
Séamus is a Solicitor and Partner at Daly Hempenstall Solicitors LLP, where he leads the firm's work in insolvency, commercial litigation, and judicial review.
Séamus acts for companies, directors, and individuals in high-stakes disputes where timing, precision, and strategy are critical - from acting in urgent injunctions to steering complex corporate restructurings through the High Court.
Séamus has developed particular expertise in Insolvency and Restructuring Law, regularly advising on Examinerships, Liquidations, and Corporate Reorganisations. He also represents clients in commercial and regulatory litigation, including Judicial Review proceedings that challenge administrative or statutory decisions.
His approach is hands-on and pragmatic - combining detailed legal analysis with commercial sense and clear communication. Clients value his responsiveness and his ability to simplify complex issues without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Recent instructions have included:
Acting in a successful cross-border conversion application under the 2023 EU Regulations - one of only a handful approved in Ireland to date;
Representing applicants the High Court, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court in a number of successful judicial review proceedings;
Advising companies, directors, and examiners in corporate restructurings and insolvency proceedings before the High Court; and
Defending and prosecuting commercial and property disputes involving urgent injunctive relief and contested evidence.
